ATEC has a new Research & Development Technical Manager in the form of Sam Rogers. An expert in system integration, Sam will be working with the ATEC service department on integrating various access and CCTV system projects, including IP CCTV. Keen on innovative technologies, Sam will also source new, cutting-edge products and services to add to ATEC’s expanding portfolio.
Sam has been with ATEC for over five years, and prior to this, Sam earned an Associate Diploma in Electronic Servicing. He also brings knowledge and experience from his time as an Engineer with Solihull-based CCSS (Closed Circuit Security Systems), a Service Technician with Warwick-based UK Watch Security and Senior Service Engineer for Security Design Centre in Halesowen.
Having such vast experience in the field helps Sam to work on different aspects of any given project. “Alongside working on the integration of ATEC’s projects, I also write the telemetry control protocols that work with the front end systems.”
An enthusiast of innovative CCTV and security technology, Sam likes to keep his finger on the pulse of the industry. “Take the recent development of pilotless surveillance aircraft being trialled across the UK to patrol the motorways,” says Sam, “It will be interesting to monitor how widespread the adoptions of technologies such as this become. CCTV deployment is becoming increasingly mobile.”
Working with ATEC for over five years Sam knows that not only is innovation important but so is resilience. “With my experience at ATEC, I know the high standards of service we set ourselves and that our customers have come to expect,” explains Sam, “We always endeavour to provide customers with solutions that are both cutting-edge and robust.”
