Video Surveillance and CCTV Cameras

A FOCUS ON YOUR OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

When designing a CCTV system we not only rely on 15 years town centre CCTV experience, we work to Home Office best practice guidelines and first gain a solid understanding of our customer's operational requirements.

For each scene we take into account the type of target (e.g. person or vehicle), size and speed, behaviour to be observed. Is the system primarily for forensic use or will it be proactively monitored?  Who will monitor it and how will they respond to an incident?

Once a system is implemented we check that each CCTV camera meets its original purpose.  Because we are not box shifters, we do not just install a camera; and the results speak for themselves.

IP OR ANALOGUE

One of the most important decisions is between an IP system or an

analogue system.

IP systems are designed for enterprise use and benefit from software updates enhancing functionality and extending life.

Modern IP networks are very flexible allowing devices to be relocated easily.

Because of this IP systems are much cheaper to reconfigure if your requirements change.

The initial investment in an IP system can be higher but the total cost of ownership can often be lower, with better performance.
