Wireless Network Security
HIGH AVAILABILITY WITH LOW TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP
Wireless is a useful and cost effective means of extending a network. Where a customer doesn’t own the space between sites (e.g. metropolitan networks) wireless delivers LAN-speed bandwidth with ongoing costs a fraction of BT and other telcos.
Where the space is owned (as in a campus site) using wireless can negate the need for expensive civil works to link buildings.
LicenseD OR Unlicenced
For most applications the use of “lite” licensed frequencies requiring only registration with OFCOM are suitable and can provide up to 300 Mbps of reliable uncontended bandwidth.
For mission critical applications and backhauls we can provide carrier-grade licensed microwave offering gigabit speeds and 99.999% availability
POINT-TO-POINT OR PTMP
Point to Multi-point (PTMP) links allow multiple subscribers to communicate with a single base station but the available bandwidth is shared between all subscribers. Point to point links with narrow beam antennae help to minimise vulnerability to interference. We have a proven point-to-point mesh solution which offers the predictability of a static design with built-in resilience through redundant routing.
FULL NETWORK MANAGEMENT
We use tools that allow us to manage a customer’s security network, with graphical displays of bandwidth usage, ping time and other indicators of network performance, ensuring maximum performance and availability.
